The society was formed 6 years ago in 2017 with the primary purpose of keeping the Cross Keys (the last remaining pub in the village) open. With money from share sales to residents of Redgrave and surrounding villages, loans and grants we succeeded in purchasing the pub and keeping it at the heart of the village.
Many people have willingly given extraordinary amounts of time and energy to get the Cross Keys up and running through some challenging times. Since January 2023, the Cross Keys is operating under our tenant Stephen Larder and his team.
Since the initial call to arms, lots of new people have moved to the village and we want to give everyone an opportunity to be part of RCSL so we are re launching an open share offer.
The view of the Cross Keys overlooking the leafy Knoll, the nearby duckpond and village shop evokes the perfect English village and adds to the desirability of Redgrave as a place to live. As a shareholder you will:
- Be a part owner of the pub
- Help to secure the long-term future of this community asset
- Help the society to maintain and improve the pub facilities
- Reduce loans, save interest and allow more to be invested in the pub

The minimum is one share at a cost £50 each.
